The MADE factory

Our after-school sewing and craft club is designed for students ages 8 and older.. No prior sewing experience is needed.

There is a one-time $15 registration fee and a monthly $65 fee, which covers all materials and instruction. Enrollment can be canceled at any time.

Safety is our top priority. Students are taught proper tool handling and sewing machine safety, and all activities are closely supervised.

•  Basic sewing fundamentals, beginning with hand sewing techniques and gradually progressing to sewing machines as students are ready
   
• Understanding tools and materials, including fabric types, sewing tools, and safe handling practices
   
• Following step-by-step instructions while also learning how to problem-solve and adjust when challenges arise
   
• Basic design concepts, such as planning a project, choosing colors and materials, and bringing an idea to life
   
• Fine motor skill development, hand-eye coordination, and focus through hands-on creation
   
• Confidence and independence, as students complete projects from start to finish
   
• Creative expression, allowing each child to personalize their work and develop their own style
   

As students progress, they will apply these skills to larger projects, including collaborative work.

The sewing club runs for four months, meeting once a week. Projects progress from beginner sewing skills to more advanced creations.
